STRANGELY EMPTY XXIX: I Want To Believe

I have been having massive computer issues due to adware, spyware and the like. Sluggish connections, no java-script and locked out of various websites including email. Strangely enough, the only site I could log onto for the last several weeks was the infected AotM. Don't get me started with conspiracy theories. I have had to use remote computers: friends' laptops and public libraries. Here's a mix along with a matching download. Sorry for the wait. That is, of course, if you were waiting.

I was waiting and figured it had something to do with cyber-baddies. This looks like another classic, Karen. I am extremely pleased to see Ana Torroja here. Have you checked out Mecano? She was the voice of Mecano, an incredibly popular pop band in the Spanish speaking world in the 80s and 90s. And while they were fresa with sweet little pop-sounding songs, they dealt with a Lou Reed list of subject matter, from heroin addiction and Kafkaesque hallucinations to the joy of lesbian sex and coming out of the closet. The Cano brothers wrote all the songs, alternating, but of course, as the voice, Ana was able to carry on to a successful solo career, while the "boys" are living off royalties.
